What makes the summer special are the concert tours happening left and right. This year, it is going to have that extra spice with some rock trailblazers going on the road together. The co-headlining tour of classic pop rock bands Train and REO Speedwagon will be on the road this summer. Nothing will derail this iconic tour, ready to whiz among multiple cities nationwide. Make sure not to miss them as they perform in a city near you.

The Summer Road Trip 2024 Tour is a surprise that has been planned for months by the two legendary bands. If you are an avid rock fan or someone who grew up around the '80s and or 2000s, it is sure that you know both bands with their hits. Train freshened the rock scene during the 2000s with bangers like "Drive By," "Bruises," and "Hey, Soul Sister." On the other hand, REO Speedwagon took the 80s on a storm with top songs like "In Your Letter," "Time for Me To Fly," and "Roll with the Changes." But, of course, they would not be considered legendary without their mastery of rock music, which they honed through their long careers.

Train broke through the mainstream in 2001. With their sound considered to be a return to classic rock, they signified the end of the reign of the post-grunge era. Their sophomore album, "Drops of Jupiter," had its moment when it was released in 2001. However, they became true superstars with their 2009 breezy international hit "Hey, Soul Sister." The song's success bled through mainstream pop, which they continue to aim for, most especially with their most recent album, "AM Gold" (2022).

While Train rose in the 2000s, 20 years before that, REO Speedwagon became an arena rock royalty. "Hi Infidelity" spawned four top hits in 1980 including "Keep on Loving You," "Don't Let Him Go," and "Take It on the Run." After that, they sailed through the top of the charts. "Keep the Fire Burnin'," and "Can't Fight This Feeling" then became their biggest songs ever.

The two iconic rock bands will be performing at the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre on August 17. Their surprises do not end there as they recruited the yacht rock specialist band Yacht Rock Revue. The '70s and '80s-inspired soft-rock of this band is sure to perfect this concert. Book tickets now!
