Mt. Joy eyes a major career breakthrough this 2024 with their biggest tour so far, looking to outdo the previous year’s sold-out string of performances! Following a four-day jaunt in Cancun, Mexico, the indie rock band will hit 19 cities throughout North America, finishing off with a headlining debut at the Madison Square Garden. “It’s incredible to cross these milestones off the bucket list… We’re a pretty humble group, but we’re excited to be put on these stages where we can go prove, to anyone who doesn’t already know, that we’re one of the best out right now,” band lead vocalist Quinn said in an official press release.
Though still a young band growing into its shoes, Mt. Joy has already established itself as a live show powerhouse with its phenomenally psychedelic stage productions and musicality. Officially debuting in 2016 as a five-piece alt-rock ensemble, the group features Matt Quinn on vocals, Sam Cooper on lead guitar, Sotiris Eliopoulos on drums, Jackie Miclau on keyboards, and Michael Byrnes on bass.
They released their eponymous first album in 2018 to instant acclaim, attracting 200 hundred million streams on Spotify as of 2022. The album listed Billboard Triple A tracks, including "Sheep,” “Jenny Jenkins,” and the Gold-certified no. 1 hit "Silver Lining." Their second album, Rearrange Us, was the group’s first entry in the Billboard 200, with similarly charting singles "Strangers" and "My Vibe," not to mention a second-place peak on the Americana/Folk Albums charts. Their latest album, Orange Blood, featured Adult Alternative Airplay hits “Evergreen” and "Lemon Tree," which you’ve likely heard on repeat from your car’s stereo.
