Set to release her new album "Timeless" this June via Republic Records, Meghan Trainor is introducing an era full of surprises. She's given us a taste of what to expect with her new single "Been Like This" featuring T-Pain, and it's a collaboration you never knew you wanted. She's out here serving an era filled with self-love bops! Ticking off her bucket list in creating this album, she sure is living the dream. Moreover, she just announced an extensive tour, her first in seven years, in support of "Timeless".

Now, back to that collab, it was actually a surprise for Trainor as well. Having manifested a collaboration with her idol, T-Pain, the "Mother" pop star took into heart her vision of an album where T-Pain could be a possible featured artist. "Every song I wrote I needed it to be likable, I need to know, ‘oh T-Pain could be on this song… if that makes sense,’" she told Audacy.

Now, little did she know, her husband had been making her dream come true, planning out a surprise as her wife has been working hard on recording the new LP. The boys have been worked on the birthday surprise "for months". "She’s been a fan of mine for a long time and the feeling is definitely mutual," T-Pain shared in a statement. "I think we came together in a way that’s a perfect mesh of styles that will get everybody ready for us to work together again real soon. T-Pain and M-Train, the collab you never knew you wanted but needed."

As an inspiration behind the album, the pop star herself surely manifested this dream come true. Though she didn't know he'd actually be on board, the stars all aligned. "I just knew going into it this album... like I will not finish this album without a T-Pain duet," she told Audacy. Letting her vision take the lead, the dream came true with "Been Like This". As "Timeless" marks its official release this June, Trainor shared that there's another track on the album featuring T-Pain. "So I won twice, and I’m so excited."

A decade since she took airwaves by surprise with "All About That Bass", Meghan became a reigning queen, scoring a Grammy Nomination for Song of the Year and a couple of other accolades shortly after her debut. As a payback to labels who rejected her music because of her unique sound, she continues to reign as one of the world's biggest singer-songwriters in the scene. "I stopped chasing radio and what I thought people wanted to hear and just wrote what I enjoyed," she shared with Rolling Stone about her "Takin' It Back" album.

Meghan Trainor's roster of hits include "All About That Bass", "Lips Are Movin", "Dear Future Husband", "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" featuring John Legend, "No", "Me Too", "Mother", "Made You Look", and many more.

In anticipation of her new album "Timeless", the singer shared that "This album is a party, upbeat, fun, happy, loving yourself. It has the most self-love anthems I’ve ever heard on an album," via Audacy.
