Chicago – The Band & Styx

Ameris Bank Amphitheatre

Chicago tickets

Chicago & Styx are joining forces and coming to the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre on Friday, July 17th. This stop is going to be a part of "The Windy Cities Tour," which is going to see both bands hitting up mainly open venues like this one over the summer. Styx have long made it a tradition to continuously be on the road with other bands, crafting incredible performances. It still came as a surprise, though, when it was announced they would be tag teaming with Chicago for this one.

The iconic band from the windy city is fresh off a long anniversary tour of their own, and maybe they thought this pairing could get fans hyped about seeing them live one more time. All signs seem to point to the fact that they were right! It's going to be a night to hear Mr. Roboto followed by Hard to Say I'm Sorry. You probably never thought that was going to be possible. However, if you click the "Buy Tickets" link now, you can be in the middle of it all.

The Windy Cities Tour

Two legendary performers are joining forces to bring some amazing music to the fans. That's pretty much at the core of this "The Windy Cities Tour." There's actually a detail that's not minor, which has fans even more eager to catch this show live. That is the fact that both of these bands have been extremely active over the last few years. This is not a reunion or farewell tour for performers who are way past their prime. This is a combination of two iconic bands that are the proud owners of true anthems in music history, playing live. That's not something that you see every day.

Expect Chicago and Styx Classics to Fill Each Set

There's another major benefit to having two bands of this caliber joining forces. Have you ever been to a concert where you really like the headliner, but midway through the set, you realize you don't know half the songs? Obviously, with Styx and Chicago, that's not a realistic fear. However, splitting time on stage does mean that both bands are likely going to rely heavily on the classics. "If You Leave Me Now" and "You're the Inspiration" are locks to be a part of the Chicago side of the show. Meanwhile, "Renegade" and "Come Sail Away" will be featured for the Styx side of the performance. If anything, we might get a never-before-seen live rendition of "Babe" featuring Chicago. The possibilities are endless.

Where Do You Want to be Inside the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre?

The front of the theater is for the fans who are going to be willing to stay on their feet for most of the night and rock out. Here you get that direct link with the performers, but it can be a tough sweat for a lot of people. If you're looking for a good time with friends, with the show engulfing you without it burning you out, then maybe the middle of the main theater is where you need to be. There are better routes to restrooms and concessions from here. Better yet, find a deal way in the back and just come out and enjoy the show.
