The B-52s and Devo have been making waves for decades, and have decided to descend upon earth one more time after their official retirement for another round of surreal festivities at some of the major venues across North America. Since opportunities to catch the two iconic new wave bands live in action have become practically non-existent, this union of influential forces is simply too good to miss!
The Cosmic De-Evolution Tour is slated to invade from September 2025 in Toronto for a small run of shows, wrapping up in early November 2025 in The Woodlands, Texas.
Even though both these iconic bands have had distinctive paths, they have a shared musical heritage - one rooted in deadpan surrealist humour, a hint of science fiction, and of course, music to die for.
When it comes to The B-52s, expect the same quirky, infectious dance grooves, unmistakable vocals, theatrical antics, zany stage personas, and thrift-store chic you fell in love with when they first hit the music scene in the late 1970s with their smash-hit, Rock Lobster. Devo’s techno-pop beats, satirical takes on pop culture, unconventional cosmic elements, and timeless appeal is guaranteed to transport you back to an era with vibrant colours, eclectic sounds, and pure punk rock ethos. They are legends in action, and have been ever since they dropped their first single Mongoloid in 1977. Boasting bangers such as Jocko Homo, Girl U Want, Gates Of Steel, and Whip It, Devo is a total must-see!
Special guest Lene Lovich is a leading figure in the new wave music scene, and is known for smash-hits such as Lucky Number, Say When, and Too Tender (To Touch).
The Ameris Bank Amphitheatre is about to be turned completely upside down with a thrilling sonic and visual concert experience - and expect the only empty seats to be those of people dancing in the aisles!
