Ameris Bank Amphitheatre
Bone Thugs N Harmony are going on an epic tour this fall with other icons of rap to do battle at the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre on Sunday, September 14th. They're calling the tour Thuggish-Ruggish-Mafia. The "Mafia" at the end is obviously for Memphis' Three 6 Mafia. The minds behind "Half on a Sack" and "Slob On My Knob," are going to be co-headlining the tour.
That's just half the lineup for this event! DJ Quik and Tech N9ne are also going to be a part of the performance. It's going to be a night full of rap battles. You know how things can get when some of the best in the business start spittin distracks. It's almost a sports event atmosphere that's going to be headed to the ATL area. A lot of people from certain generations, around the 2000s, might be surprised to see that Bone Thugs N Harmony are "headlining" the tour over Three 6 Mafia. Where is Bone Thugs N Harmony's Oscar? The thing is, Bone Thugs N Harmony have some seniority in the matter. Bone Thugs N Harmony was a group that had been holding it down in the rap scene since the early 90s. In the 2000s, they had that song "I Tried" with Akon that introduced them to a newer generation. That old school rap vibe, though, is going to be very present at these live shows. The tension between the groups might build up, though, by the time the tour makes it to Alpharetta, Georgia. That's also something that you want to keep an eye out for!
You might be coming out here to experience tracks like "Stay Fly" or "It's Hot Out Here For a Pimp." That's especially the case if you're in Three 6 Mafia corner! Speaking of being in someone's corner, that might make a lot more sense as the show rolls on. Bone Thugs N Harmony and Three 6 Mafia members have engaged in some epic rap battles. One of those even came to blows at one point. Just FYI, this is not an event suited for anyone under age. Things can heat up on stage, and not in a good way. It's part of the deal with these groups, but just now, they go hard!
Want to be in the middle of the action? Then you gotta find a place inside the pit! This is one of those rap shows that could get real wild. Knowing this, maybe the pit isn't for you.
