The Sad Summer Festival is an emerging concert series founded in 2019. Tim Kirch, founder, and band manager of 8123 Media, founded the festival filling the void left by the now-defunct festival series Vans Warped Tour. The Sad Summer Festival launched with Mayday Parde, The Maine, and the Wonder Years as its line-up in 2019. The festival took a break in 2020 due to the pandemic but returned with a more phenomenal line-up, featuring All Time Low, in 2021.
Last year, the festival brought in new and returning performers, such as Water Parks, Mayday Parade, and Neck Deep. By this time, the buzz about the festival has grown. Rock, alternative, and emo fans are starting to take notice and regard the series as the new must-see annual festival. This 2023, Sad Summer Festival brings in Taking Back Sunday with performances from The Maine, Pvris, Hot Mulligan, and Mom Jeans. Select cities will feature several more performers like Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness, Motion City Soundtrack, Head Automatica, and many more.
Enjoy the best of pop punk, alternative, and emo music at the Sad Summer Festival! The show will take over the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre on Saturday, 8th July 2023. Since 2008, the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre has hosted many of Georgia’s most exciting concerts and events. The state-of-the-art outdoor venue has shoulder up to 12,000 guests. The outdoor entertainment destination is perfect for summer festivals due to its stunning backdrop and concert grounds lined with lush green landscape.
